THE Bathurst 500 might be new this year, but winning a 250 kilometre sprint race in a Supercar at Mount Panorama is something that Macauley Jones can already lay claim to. Before the 26-year-old graduated to the Supercars series three seasons ago, he raced in the Super2 category. That series held a 250 kilometre race at Mount Panorama as part of their championship between 2014 and 2019. The first three years under that format Paul Dumbrell clinched victory, but it was Jones who claimed the chequered flag in 2017.
