Boy fighting for life after being hit by a car in Manly

A young boy is in a critical condition after being hit by a car on Sydney’s northern beaches.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Pittwater Road, near Balgowlah Road in Manly just after 3.40pm on Friday.

The 10-year-old was treated at the scene for suspected head injuries.

He was then put in an induced coma and airlifted to the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick in a critical condition.

The driver of a ute is being taken to Northern Beaches Hospital for mandatory testing.
