Free pulse and legume workshops for Pyramid Hill, Murchison



A shiny new tool for pulse and legume growers is hitting the market soon, but only South Australian and Victorian farmers will be able to access it.

In tandem with the region-specific launch will be free workshops in Pyramid Hill and Murchison.

The tool — a soil testing service — is designed to detect if an area needs to be inoculated pre-sowing or not.

It was created by the Grains Research and Development Corporation and will be rolled out through PREDICTA B accredited agronomists.

The workshops will feature leading researchers and cover topics including inoculation, nodulation and nitrogen fixation of crops such as chickpeas, lupins, lentils and faba beans.
