The Orange Aquatic Centre will be closed until at least Thursday afternoon after a couple with cryptosporidium visited the pool earlier this month. Cryptosporidiosis is a diarrhoeal disease caused by a parasite, cryptosporidium, which infects the intestine. A message from the aquatic centre on Wednesday morning read: “We’ve just received a notification from NSW Health, a couple of people visited the pool on February 8 who had cryptosporidium.
