IF Rugby Union is in need of a big wicket come Friday night’s Royal Hotel Cup grand final, then don’t be surprised if Hugh McIntyre is thrown the ball. When Orange CYMS’ Tom Belmonte posed Rugby a threat in last week’s semi-final of the Twenty20 competition – he reached his 50 off 39 deliveries – it was McIntyre who sent him on his way. McIntyre didn’t finish there either, claiming 3-11 off his two overs to ensure Rugby would advance to meet Orange City in the decider at Wade Park. “He just came on at the end, I’ve thrown the ball to him in the overs that matter and he’s obviously been doing the business, he’s one of the leading wicket takers in BOIDC,” Rugby Union captain Ryan Peacock said. “He’s really stood up…
