Wollongong man transported to hospital after two-truck smash near Mount Lambie | Western Advocate

A Wollongong man was transported to Lithgow Hospital on Tuesday evening after the truck he was driving was involved in a collision with a semi-trailer on the Great Western Highway between Bathurst and Lithgow. Emergency services were called to the scene near Bonaventure Road at around 2.30pm, with police, ambulance and fire crews all responding to the calls. NSW Police believe the westbound flatbed side-swiped the oncoming truck, extensively damaging the other vehicle and rupturing the fuel tanks on both vehicles in the process. The flatbed driver was treated on the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being transported to hospital suffering head injuries, paramedics said the driver of the second vehicle declined…
